As Deloitte’s Global Emerging Technology & Innovation Leader, Combiz Abdolrahimi is responsible for helping governments and organizations to design, build, and implement innovative programs using new and emerging technologies. Combiz has over 15 years of public and private sector experience, serving as a national security lawyer, policymaker, and financial regulator, advising U.S. Presidents, Cabinet Secretaries, Senators, & industry CEOs on technology & innovation issues. He has worked with industry executives and government leaders from over 100 countries, setting policies and priorities for emerging issues and global priorities including diversity, equity, and inclusion; fintech & financial services; climate change; cybersecurity; and creating new opportunities in the metaverse economy. He serves on numerous boards and advisory committees including the Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) AI & Blockchain Expert Policy Advisory Board; FinTech Chair for the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s Trade Finance Advisory Council; Black Professionals in International Affairs Council of Advisors; Diversity & Inclusion Chair for FP4A NextGen Initiative; and is the recipient of the World Economic Forum’s 2021 Agile50 for being one of the world’s 50 most influential people navigating disruption, driving agility, & championing innovation in government, regulation & policymaking globally.
